This article will guide you through creating Ticket Packages in the Donorbox Events Editor, a powerful feature that lets you sell grouped ticket offerings like sponsorship packages, tables, and corporate packages.
Step 1 - Navigate to Ticket in the Events Section
To create a Ticket Package, open the Events section from the left-hand sidebar on your Donorbox dashboard. Select Events under the Fundraise header, then choose an existing event or create a new one (+ New Event).
Once the event is set up, click the edit icon to open the Event Editor.
- On your Donorbox dashboard, select Events under the Fundraise header in the left-hand sidebar.
- Once an Event has been created, click on your desired event to open the Event Editor.
- In the Event, click on Tickets under the Settings header on the left-hand side of the event.
Step 2 - Create a New Ticket Package
This section is where you typically add individual paid or free tickets. You will now see the option to add a package.
- Select Packages next to Ticket Types.
- Click the '+ Add Package' button.
Step 3 - Configure Your Package Details
You will now define the contents, price, and presentation of your ticket package.
Enter the Package Name and Description
- Package Name: Enter a descriptive name for your Ticket Package (e.g., "Corporate Table for 8" or "Platinum Sponsor Package").
-
Add a Package Description to outline the perks and inclusions of the package (e.g., "Includes logo placement on event banner and a full-page ad in the program.").
- You can also add a branded image and format this package description to help the package stand out.
Define Package Inventory
- Package Quantity: Select the checkbox if there will be a limited number of packages available for sale (or leave the box unchecked if there is no limit).
- Enter the total number of this specific package you'd like to sell (e.g., if you have 5 corporate tables available, enter 5). The form will automatically close sales for this package when the limit is reached.
Note: The total ticket inventory will also update automatically as packages sell, ensuring accurate counts.
Package: Tickets and Price
This is where you specify what the package contains.
- Add the ticket and the quantity of each ticket that is included in this package.
- Example: For a "Sponsorship Package," you might add:
- General Admission Ticket: Quantity 10
- VIP Reception Ticket: Quantity 2
- Package Price: Set the fixed price for the entire package.
- Tax-Deductible Option: If applicable, toggle the option to make the package tax-deductible. Manually enter the Fair Market Value (FMV) of the tickets and the tax-deductible amount will be automatically calculated and displayed to the buyer.
- Click “Create Package”
Step 4 - Review and Publish
Once you have configured your package, save your changes.
- The tickets included in the package will automatically be factored into the overall inventory counts of your individual tickets.
- You can return to the Tickets section at any time and click 'Edit' on the package to modify any of these details.
- When ready, click 'Publish' at the top of the Event Editor to make the Ticket Packages available for purchase on your live event form.
You now have a Ticket Package that lets you bundle multiple tickets and perks into a single purchase.
