How do I enable Text-To-Give?

Enabling the Text-to-Give Add-on

You can enable Text-to-Give from the Text-to-Give section located under Integrations & Add-ons, on the sidebar.

Here, you can select the plan that best fits your use case.

1. You must be approved

To use the 801801 short code, Donorbox will review every organization's request. This helps ensure compliance. Go to your Text-to-Give Add-on page and click the Request button:

2. Contact Donorbox Support [e-mail]. 

Let the team know you have submitted a request to get the Text-to-Give short code option.

If you are going to share the code (801801) on your website, please share the URL and add the required legal text on your site before activation.

If you are going to share the code through other Media (Print, TV, etc.), you will need to express this in writing in the message to our Support team.

• For print or TV promotions where edits take longer, provide written confirmation that you will include the required legal text once you market via those channels.

3. Disclosures must be visible

Whenever you promote the short code, you need to make sure to include the following:

1. Must accompany the call-to-action with a link to the comprehensive terms and conditions

   The terms and conditions link is https://donorbox.org/terms - For reference, the specific section is the Messaging Policy

2. Must accompany the call-to-action with a link to the privacy policy - The privacy policy link is https://donorbox.org/privacy

3. Must accompany the call-to-action with a mention that data rates may apply. - Example text - Message and data rates may apply

Example:

"By texting 'HOPE' to 801801, you agree to Donorbox Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. Text and data rates might apply."

The Donorbox team will confirm if all of the above is in place. 

Before activating your short code, Donorbox will check your website and any marketing materials where the short code appears to ensure all required disclosures are included.
