How to Export Donorbox Data into Raiser’s Edge

Raiser's Edge is a donor management solution by Blackbaud, built specifically for nonprofits. Being able to plug your Donorbox data into Raiser's Edge takes your fundraising to the next level, by giving you more insights and better ways of engaging donors. 

ImportOmatic is a handy 3rd-party integration tool within Raiser's Edge and Raiser's Edge NXT that allows you to import your Donorbox data into your Raiser's Edge account. It standardizes your data, prevents duplicates and automates the importing process. It is more efficient than the traditional way of importing data.

Here's how you can use ImportOmatic to integrate your Donorbox data into Raiser's Edge.

Step 1

Export your Donorbox data from your account. Donorbox data is exported as a CSV file. This solution will explain how to achieve this. 

Step 2

Run ImportOmatic from your Raiser's Edge plugins screen, as shown below.

Initially, you may need to configure a profile for Donorbox's CSV. In other words, you would link the headings in the Donorbox CSV to fields in Raiser's Edge that the corresponding data should be saved under. You can also set rules for formatting data.

Once these settings are saved, they will be applied to all subsequent imports. You won't need to repeat the process again.

Step 3

After the initial settings are saved, you can begin importing.

Select the import profile for Donorbox's CSV that you created in Step 2. Then, select the CSV file you downloaded in Step 1. This video will show you how to do this.

Step 4

Click the Import button when you're done. Your Donorbox data will be imported into Raiser's Edge.
