Can I import donors' offline donations to my Donorbox account?

Yes. It's possible to import donors' data to your Donorbox account. To do this, you need to send our support team a CSV file with the following information:

• first_name*
• last_name*
• email*
• amount*
• currency*
• donation_date*
• donation_type* - (check, credit_card, cash, cryptocurrency, external_bank_transfer, paypal)
• processing_fee
• comment
• org_comments
• address
• address_line_2
• city
• state
• zip_code
• country
• phone
• designation
• plan_interval
• cover_fee_amount
• salutation
• nickname
• gender
• birthdate
• fmv_amount
• fmv_description

When creating the file, please take into account the following:

1. The columns marked with an asterisk (*) are required fields. Please don't include the asterisk in the file.
2. Email Column: Emails are a required field and cannot include any capital letters.
   If your donor does not have an email address, you could use a placeholder email address in the following email convention - [e-mail].
   For example, for a donor named John Smith, you may list their email address as [e-mail] following the [e-mail] email format.
3. Amount Column: When you add the amount, you need to add only numbers. Don't add any symbols. The column should look like this:
   
4. Currency Column: The format should be in standard 3-letter currency code, for example, USD, CAD, EUR, etc. 
5. Donation date: The format for the donation date should be: YYYY-MM-DD
6. Donation Type: You can only choose one of the following donation types: (check, credit_card, cash, cryptocurrency, external_bank_transfer, paypal)
   • If your donor donated with a different payment method, you still need to add one of the payment methods above and you can add in the comment column what was the original payment method.
   • The format for the payment method needs to be the same. Please do not include any capital letters or variations. This column should look like this:

7. Finally, you need to confirm the campaign to which you want to import these donations. Make sure that the minimum amount is correct for both the file and the campaign. 

After preparing the file, kindly reach out to our support team at [e-mail] with the CSV file attached. Please specify the campaign to which you want the donation data imported. Our team will be happy to import this data on your behalf.
