Venmo is one of the most sought-after payment methods for non-profits. It is available through PayPal Checkout, which is the new upgrade of PayPal Express. If your organization has been using Paypal Express, there's no need for you to do anything else on your end. Your donors will be presented with an option to pay with their Venmo account after clicking your PayPal payment button on your donation form.
If your organization is on PayPal Classic, you need to upgrade via the PayPal Checkout onboarding on your Payment Method page.
Once that's done, the Venmo payment option will be available on your form. Here's what the donors will see after clicking the Paypal payment button.
Donors can show Venmo Code on desktop and scan it with the Venmo app or just the phone camera.
Then, they can complete checkout in Venmo mobile app, as shown below.
*Note: Venmo only supports one-time donations at this time. Currently, Venmo is only accepted within the US.
