When you send emails out to potential donors, you want to make it as easy as possible for them to donate. Donate buttons are a great way to do that.
When the donor opens the email, they will have a donate button within the email to direct them immediately to your donation page. It's convenient and donors appreciate that.
Here's how to add a donate button to a MailChimp campaign:
Log into your Donorbox dashboard and click the "Donate button" link next to your campaign, as shown:
Custom the button settings, as needed. Then, copy the entire contents of the code block, as shown:
Go to MailChimp and open your draft campaign's content section. On the left side of the screen, you will see a selection of content blocks that can be added to the draft. Click and drag the "Code" icon. Drop it wherever you want it to appear on the email.
Paste the code from Step 3 into the code block that will open on the right side of the screen.
As you paste it, you will see the button appear on the left, within the email layout.
Click "Save and Close" when you're done. Now you can preview the email and see your donate button.
