When you send emails out to potential donors, you want to make it as easy as possible for them to donate. Donate buttons are a great way to do that.
When the donor opens the email, they will have a donate button within the email to direct them immediately to your donation page. It's convenient, and donors appreciate that.
Here's how to add a donate button to a MailChimp campaign:
Step 1
Log into your Donorbox dashboard and "Campaigns" at the top menu. Then go ahead and click the embed code icon (</>) to show the options, as shown:
Step 2
Go to the Donate Button tab, and customize the button settings as needed. Then, copy the entire contents of the code block, as shown:
Step 3
Go to MailChimp and open your draft campaign's content section. On the left side of the screen, you will see a selection of content blocks that can be added to the draft. Click and drag the "Code" icon. Drop it wherever you want it to appear in the email.
Step 4
Paste the code from Step 3 into the code block that will open on the screen's right side.
You will see the button appear on the left within the email layout as you paste it.
Step 5
Click "Save and Close" when you're done. Now you can preview the email and see your donate button.
