How to add a Giving Reminder to your pop-up donation form

A Giving Reminder helps you recover more donations from anyone who doesn’t complete their transaction. Donors who exit your pop-up form without completing their donation will see a reminder at the bottom right of their screen, prompting them to finish their transaction.

Here’s how to add a Giving Reminder to your pop-up form:

Step 1

Visit your Campaign Launchpad for the desired campaign.

Step 2

Head to the ‘Pop-up Donation Form’ tab.

Step 3

Customize your button's size, color, and text, as well as the default recurring interval and prefilled donation amount for your form.

Step 4

In the Giving Reminder section, check the box for ‘Enable Giving Reminder for incomplete donations.’

Step 5

Scroll to the Sticky Pop-Up Donate Button section. Choose if you want your button to anchor to the left or right of the screen.

Step 6

Preview both features by toggling on ‘Preview Sticky Donate Button’, clicking the button, interacting with the pop-up form, and exiting before completing the donation.

Step 7

Copy-paste the embed code into your website’s header to display the sticky button on all pages (recommended) or into the code of the pages where you want it to appear.

You can also add a Giving Reminder to a pop-up form using a standard Inline Pop-Up Donate Button, following the steps above but copying the code for the appropriate button type.
