Yes, you can create promo codes that enable you to offer discounted or zero-cost tickets to select ticket buyers.
To do so, go to the Events page in your Donorbox account and click "Promo Codes" in the appropriate event.
Then, follow the simple steps to set up your codes.
The Promo Codes page is also where a list of your existing codes for that event will live, and where you can edit, pause, restart, or delete codes as needed.
You can create an unlimited number of promo codes for each event at no additional cost. Discounts may be flat amounts (ex: $10 off) or they can be percentage-based (ex: 10% off) and are applied to the entire order (instead of specific ticket tiers) at this time.
You can edit a promo code at any time before it's used and you can also deactivate and reactivate codes, allowing you to offer certain discounts for a limited time. There is currently no limit to how many times a promo code can be used to purchase a ticket at a discount.
The discount is applied to the order total before tax. The promo code also deducts the discount for fair market value (FMV) first, ensuring your donors can still claim as much of their ticket as tax-deductible as possible.
