Yes! All U.S. political organizations, campaigns, and committees can create FEC-compliant Donations and Donor reports with just a few clicks in your Donorbox organization account.
First, make sure you are set up as a U.S. political campaign or committee in Donorbox:
New Donorbox Orgs: Sign up here. Select the United States as your Country of Registration, select ‘Political Campaign or Committee’, then follow the steps.
Existing Donorbox Orgs: Go to the ‘Nonprofit Info’ tab of the ‘Organization Info’ page in your org account. Select ‘Political campaign’ as your ‘Organization Type’, then move to the new ‘Political Campaign Info’ tab to enter all necessary information.
Now, you can easily access your FEC-compliant reports by clicking the buttons provided under ‘FEC Filing Data’ on your ‘Political Campaign Info’ tab.
Or, head to the Reports page of your Donorbox org account (find it under ‘Engage’).
Then, follow these steps:
- Click the orange ‘Create New Report’ button.
- Select the report you wish to produce and click ‘Next: Parameters’. For FEC filing purposes, create and download the FEC Donor Template and FEC Donation Template.

- Click ‘Next: Parameters’. Set a timeframe for the data (hint: choose the timeframe you are filing for), a report name/title, and a description of your report.
- Click ‘Finish: Create Report’. Your FEC filing-compliant report will be generated using the parameters and the donor and donation data you have stored in Donorbox.
- Click ‘Download’ to download a CSV of your report. This download will contain all of the appropriate information and formatting for electronic submission with the FEC - simply load the CSV to FECFile!
